I miss Christmas. I love absolutely everything about it! All the yummy food, festive Christmas decorations everywhere you go, twinkle lights, hot chocolate, and most importantly, lots of time spent with family! We just got back from a 2 week, whirlwind of a trip to California. We (my parents, Heather, James, Doug and I) left in two cars on Fri. the 18th after work, and drove straight through the night to arrive at my Grandpa Brunts' house in Sacramento at about 10pm on Saturday.
Cami and Lee joined us on Sunday. After a few days in Sacramento we left for Monterey where we we spent two days and one night. We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Bubba Gumps for dinner, and drove along Highway 1 among other things! It was so beautiful....I wish I could live there.

Next we headed to Fresno to spend Christmas Day with Grandma and Grandpa Jenkins and alllll of our Jenkins cousins! I
t was so much fun to have everyone together all at once. Sadly, I didn't get any pictures of us....I guess I was too busy eating! On Christmas Eve, we went to Yosemite to ice skate in the valley. It was so beautiful. The perfect way to spend Christmas Eve. Christmas Day we filled up on all the traditional foods, and did our gift exchange. So much fun!

Theeeeen, we went back to Sacramento to do Christmas with the Brunts and to drop Cami and Lee off at the airport. Let me tell you, we spent a lot of time in the car.

On our way out of CA we stopped to spend another day in Fresno with Grandma and Grandpa Jenkins then we were off to Vegas, Baby! We stayed at the Luxor for two nights, and had lots of fun walking the strip and playing the penny slots where my Mom turned $1 into $36. Ridiculously lucky!

After two more days in the car, and New Years Eve (which was spent at a hotel in Albuquerque, NM) we finally arrived home on Friday evening. I haven't unpacked one single thing.....I must be in denial that our Christmas vacation is over. I love my family, and I'm so glad I got to show Doug where I spent many summers and Christmases throughout my childhood! Meanwhile, I can't believe it's 2010! May the New Year bring many blessings to you and yours!
First of all, the new background rocks. Second of all, I miss our vacation. Stay at home Meagan is so lucky! I love you!
